King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain left for their state visit to the Netherlands. The Royal couple is visiting the fellow Kingdom on the invitation of King Willem-Alexander. King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia left from the State Pavilion of the T-4 Terminal of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport after the Military honors.
The trip allows us to continue the traditional relationship of friendship between the two royal houses, as well as to continue to strengthen, dynamize and strengthen the bilateral relationship. The last state trip to the Netherlands dates back to 2001. Spain received the State Visit of Queen Beatrice in 1985.
Although there has not been any state visit from the Netherlands to Spain or vice-versa, the Dutch King and Queen made an official visit to Spain in the last decade. Both Royal couples have met recently on various occasions, the recent one being the Coronation of King Charles III.
Queen Letizia of Spain was looking absolutely elegant in a dark suit paired with white top, Corterno ring, Gold & Roses Hoops and Massimo Dutti Slingback pumps. Upon arrival, Felipe and Letizia will be meeting with the Spanish Diaspora based in the Netherlands.
