Queen Letizia of Spain today joined the National Women’s Rugby Team for a training session at the Rugby Stadium of the Complutense University Campus in Madrid. The women’s rugby team is training for the next pre-Olympic tournament that will take place on July 13 and 14 in Kazan, Russia this year.
The qualifiers will be taking part in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. During the training, the Queen was accompanied by the acting Minister of Culture and Sports, José Guirao.
The Spanish Women’s Rugby Team 7 secured their participation in the Pre-Olympic Games in Kazan (Russia), by qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Marcoussis tournament held in France.
Queen watched the young people between 16 and 17 years old participating in the course of the Rugby Academy from the stands.
After the training, Letizia met with the members of the National Women’s Rugby Team who gave her 3 shirts with the names of Her Majesty the Queen, the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Doña Sofia, and a rugby ball signed by all the players.
After a group photo with the whole team, Letizia had the opportunity to talk with the players and wish them luck for the Pre-Olympic.
For the day, Letizia chose a casual look in white. She debuted a new Ivory Lined Belted Jacket from Carolina Herrera.
Fitted jacket in linen with flap pockets features shirt collar, long sleeves and concealed button fastening and a detachable matching belt. Letizia had the sleeves of the jacket rolled on the summer day.
The £575 jacket is available on Carolina Herrera online store, for now, £403.
Letizia paired it with a white trouser from the same label.
Queen brought back her Mint & Rose beige wedge from her visit to the Dominic Republic in 2018.
And finished her look with her Chanel Comète Earrings.
