Today at the Royal Palace of Zarzuela in Madrid, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain along with their daughters Princess of Asturias Leonor and Infanta Sofia paid a tribute to the people who lost their lives due to COVID19.
The Royal family holds a minute of silence to remember all the lost lives. COVID19. Spain alone lost 27117 lives due to the outbreak of Coronavirus that the whole world is still struggling with. The family presided over the beginning of the official mourning, in memory of the victims of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The staff of the Royal Palace also joined the Spanish Royal family in the tribute.
The service started with a prayer followed by a minutes silence. The official mourning will last 10 days and will be represented with a black ribbon.
A video of the service.
For the mourning service, the whole family was wearing black outfits. Queen Letizia wore a knee-length black knitted dress with fringe detailing on the sleeves. The label of the dress is still unknown. I will update the post once it identified.
Queen paired the outfit with her Hugo Boss ‘Royal’ pointed toe Flats that she also wore yesterday.
She was wearing her bezel stud earrings and
Karen Hallam ring.
