Continuing their nation-wide tour to promote tourism after COVID-19, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain arrived in the towns of Vinuesa and Soria in Castilla y León for an away day. In Vinuesa Felipe and Letizia participated in a working meeting with institutional representatives and experts from the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León on the demographic challenge and the future of the Community while in Soria they held a meeting with representatives of different sectors of the province, in addition, to commemorate 900 years of the Soria capital.
The day began in Vinuesa where Spanish King and Queen met with the institutional representatives and experts from the Autonomous Community and held a working meeting with them at the Pinares Altos de Vinuesa School of Early Childhood and Primary Education to learn more about the demographic challenge.
In the meeting, the potentials of the education field in the area, education during the pandemic, online education, how it impacted the education system and its after-effects were discussed.
The representatives of the community talked about the increasing needs of the digital infrastructure, efficient networking within the area. They also discussed the environmental policies, strategies of Climate Change, Circular Economy and Bioeconomy, among other issues.
After the meeting, Felipe and Letizia toured the town. During the street walkabouts, they met with the locals and with a group of older people from Vistinas, who told them how their life has developed in this town in Soria.
Even, if the mainstream media is talking about the future of Monarchy in Spain, the ground-level reality is favourable. The locals warmly welcomed Felipe and Letizia.

Next King Felipe and Queen Letizia arrived in the town of Soria. They visited The Villa de Vinuesa that is located in the heart of the green Soria.
It is one of the various towns that make up this territory, it enjoys the most representative popular architecture in the entire Pinares region. The Urbión and Cebollera mountain ranges cover Vinuesa on the north side and in them is the incomparable Black Lagoon, a beautiful place to visit in any season of the year, since each of them has its own charm.
Next, they arrived at the Antonio Machado de Soria Institute of Secondary Education, where they had a meeting with representatives of different sectors of this province to learn first-hand about their future projects and the current situation in Soria.
It is one of the most unpopulated provinces of the European Union. Soria maintains its historical and medieval character and is full of activities of all kinds. Today it is a small city, quiet and largely dedicated to the service sector, with a population of around 38,000 inhabitants.
Next, they toured the city centre towards the “Plaza Mayor” and arrived at the Audience Palace Palace in Soria, where they saw a model of the city (1/500 scale), designed to mark the 900th anniversary of the town.

For the day, Queen Letizia wore her pink floral Hugo Boss Kalocca Shirt Dress that she premiered in November 2019 at the opening of the exhibition ‘Goya Drawings ‘.
The €499 viscose dress with floral print in burgundy and orange featured smocked yoke waistline and an asymmetrical hemline, a turned-down collar and belt with D-ring closure.
