Queen Letizia of Spain met with the Presidents of Atresmedia and Fundación Mútua Madrileña – José Creuheras and Ignacio Garralda at the Royal Palace of Zarzuela in Madrid to learn more about the results of the “3rd Macro-study on gender violence”, research conducted within the initiative “Against mistreatment, Zero Tolerance ”, which both entities have been working on for seven years.
During the hearing, Queen Letizia received detailed information about the work process in the development of this macro-study derived from the initiative “Against abuse, Zero Tolerance” which promotes the eradication of abuse and violence in all forms, through a culture of respect and tolerance, making society aware of the utmost importance of denouncing abuse and violence, as well as promoting dialogue and education —as fundamental tools— to prevent these behaviours. Zero tolerance implies that any form of abuse or violence will be prosecuted and punished, regardless of its severity or its form of manifestation.

Atresmedia and Fundación Mutua Madrileña join forces to combat gender violence. The study was carried out in October 2022 with the opinions of 6,275 people and offers a snapshot of the population’s perception of gender-based violence and its evolution in the last two years. What do you think about gender violence? How do you help? What is the profile of the aggressor? Are minors victims? what are the causes of gender violence? These were some of the questions answered in this study.
