Queen Letizia of Spain, an avid reader, made a private visit to Madrid Book Fair. The book far, an annual event, is being held between May 26th to June 12 this year. Letizia attended the Red Cross and Crescent Day celebrations yesterday. Due to the General Elections in Spain that are in July, The Royal family is keeping a low profile and Queen has a very limited agenda.

The Madrid book fair is usually one of Queen Letizia’s summer engagements as she usually attends the opening of the fair. But maybe this year, the event was not on her agenda due to the political atmosphere of the country. The book fair was first organized in 1933 and since then it has become an integral part of Spanish culture in the capital city.

Queen Letizia went for a Bohemian style in 2022.
In 2021 she chose a simple Boss midi dress for the delayed book Fair which was organized in September instead of May June due to the pandemic.

It was her 2019 outfit that was my all-time favourite look for this annual event.
Queen was seen leaving with many bags carrying books. As per the onlookers and shopkeepers, Letizia bought “Stories From the City of God” by Pier Paolo Pasolini, “Hawthorne Letters” by Herman Melville, “Lovecraft” by Antonio Jiménez Morato, “El Uso de la Foto” by Annie Ernaux, “The Walk” by Robert Walzer, and “The End of The Novel of Love” by Vivian Gornick.
Last year, when Queen Letizia was asked by someone at the book fair about her grey hair and why did she stop covering she smiled and politely said she spent that time reading.
Today, Letizia chose a casual look with black jeans and a white Uterque Striped Jumper.
