The Princess of Asturias, Leonor, and Infanta Sofia of Spain arrived in Girona with their parents King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain for the annual Princess of Girona Foundation Awards. Leonor holds the title of Princess of Girona. The annual awards recognize the young talent across the country who through their fields are trying to bring a positive change in the world.
This year’s award ceremony will take place tomorrow at the Camiral Hotel in Caldes de Malavella. This year marks the 14th edition of the awards that were first held in 2010 to promote research, artistic creativity, innovation, solidarity and the entrepreneurial talent of young people up to 35 years of age.
Ahead of the awards, the Spanish Royal Family will be attending various events organized by the Foundation. The first event was the Innovation Workshop with a group of young participants in the Foundation’s programs organized by Ferrán Adriá and the ElBulli1846 team.
Upon arrival, both Princess was then greeted by Ferrán Adrià, Lluís García, general director of “elBullifoundation”, and Ernest Laporte, financial director of “elBullifoundation“, among other personalities.
The Princesses first visited the ElBulli 1846 Museum. “elBullifoundation” is a private family foundation managed by Ferran Adrià and Juli Soler. The foundation was established on February 7, 2013, with the aim of promoting innovation and creativity through the language of cooking.
Leonor and Sofia learned about the various activities and workings of the foundation. They met with the staff and participants. The day ended with a group photograph.
Tomorrow, Leonor and Sofia will attend a workshop concert by AmplificARTE ahead of the award ceremony in the evening.

Princess Leonor chose a stylish summer shade of orange for the day. Leonor was looking gorgeous in an orange Lady Pipa Florida dress. The colour was officially described as Nubia naranja. The €169.95 midi dress featured a side slit, puff sleeves and teardrop and knot detail on the neckline.
Leonor paired the dress with Gold & Roses skyline Crawler earrings from her mother Queen Letizia’s jewel vault.
She was wearing her Mint & Rose Sardinia Espadrille Wedges.
and carried Zara x Narciso Rodriguez Leather Clutch that Sofia carried earlier this year at Copa del Rey final.
