King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain undertook their first official engagement of the summer in Palma and hosted the annual Balearic Island reception at the Marivent Palace. Almudeina Palace is the official residence of the Spain Royal Family but the family chose to stay at the Marivent Palace instead.
The reception provides the King and Queen an opportunity to meet the local government officials, social and cultural representatives and other big names of the Mallrocan society. They were joined by Felipe’s Mother Queen Sofia for the event as usual.
There were around 500 guests who were present at the Palace to enjoy the evening in the gorgeous backdrop of the historical Palace. King Felipe and Queen Letizia arrived in Palma last week after finishing their summer agenda in Madrid. Last weekend, Queen Letizia attended the annual Mallorca Film Festival closing ceremony – another staple of Palma calendar.
Earlier this week, The Royal Couple took their daughters – Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia for a visit to Jardines de Alfàbia (Gardens of Alfàbia) in the Sierra de Tramuntana.
Heading towareds Queen Letizia Style – Every year, The stylish Spanish Queen gave chose an elegant summer outfit for the evening. In 2017, Queen Letizia dons Manila Manton dress to receive the Balearic Island Society.
In 2018, It was a turn for another Colorful Ensemble.
The year 2019 saw Queen Letizia in stunning red for Balearic Island Annual Reception. The reception was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
Last year, Queen Letizia made a gorgeous appearance in a Charo Ruiz Ibiza Aryana Long Dress featuring bright summer shades.

Queen Letizia of Spain chose a summer blue shade for the evening with light makeup and a high ponytail as hairdo.
Letizia was wearing Desigual x Stella Jean Ruffle Midi Dress.
Designed by Stella Jean for Desigual the dress was described as “A midi dress with a ruffle at the top, exposed shoulders, an elasticated waist with a belt and a two-tone print“. The Mediterranean mosaic-inspired print is hand-painted on the fabric. The dress features an off-shoulder silhoutte with easltic waistline and ankle-length.
