Rania took to her Instagram to thank her family, friends and public for the warm wishes she received on her birthday. She shared two pictures with one with her family and one with her new daughter-in-law, Princess Rajwa.
It’s been great to see Rania taking the charge to show Rajwa the royal ropes. The World of Royalty is a daunting and intimidating especially for the new comers. Rania has made sure Rajwa gets enough space to find her footing in the new country and new life.
In the new pic Queen Rania is wearing Off White Co Cargo Cropped Cotton Shirt, Khaite Danielle studded high-rise straight-leg jeans, with a white top with 3.1 Phillip lim Pashli Mini Messenger Bag and Elise Dray Pearls and Diamonds Earrings.
While Rajwa supported a Zara Gabardine Jumpsuit in beige with Dior 80mm Saddle Belt in Black Smooth Calfskin and Technical Fabric and Insignia Jewellery Lianne Earrings made of 18K Gold Plated on Sterling Silver with Gemstones. Thanks to Rajwa Rania style for the ids.
Queen Rania of Jordan is known around the globe for her extremely elegant and stylish fashion choices, her strong personality and is Jordan’s face on many global platforms including United Nations, WEF and Earthshot Prizes.
Most of the time Rania celebrates her birthday privately and I am assuming this year will not be any exception either. It is hard to look at the stunning Queen and believe she is 53 and mother of four children. It was pointed out by many fans when we saw her in stunning black outfit at the wedding of his son and in a dark blue outfit when she met with King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia this summer.
A Business Administration graduate Rania met her husband King Abdullah II in January 1993 when she was working for Apple. One of Abdullah’s cousin was Rania’s friend. Rania was attending a dinner party where Abdullah was also the guest. Abdullah was not the Crown Prince or next King at that time. The couple got engaged after 2 months and got married on June 10, 1993.
In 1999, when Abdullah succeeded his father King Hussein and became the King of Jordan he made Rania the Queen of Jordan as the title of Queen is not automatic for the wives of Jordanian Kings. The reason is in Jordan, Kings are allowed to marry multiple times and they can make any of their wives a Queen. But Abdullah broke that tradition and never married again.
On family front, the year 2023 was a remarkable year for the Jordanian Queen. Two of her children got married this year. In March 2023, her daughter Princess Iman married Jameel Alexander in a very elegant and quiet wedding ceremony held in Amman.
Her elder son and Crown Prince of Jordan, Al Hussein married Saudi Arabian beauty Rajwa Al-Saif in a lavish wedding ceremony in June this year. The wedding was followed by an equally state banquet hosted by the King and Queen.
