King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the opening of The Royal Theatre Madrid’s 2023-2024 Season opening. The event is one of the staple fall events of the Royal Family’s calendar and one of those where we expect Queen Letizia to step away from her regular working woman style.
This year’s season opened with the performance of “Medea”, by Luigi Cherubini. The opera performed in three acts explores dramatic aspects of the libretto, such as vicarious violence or abandonment.
After the performance, King Felipe and Queen Letizia met with the artists to thank them for the performance.

What Queen Letizia wore to the Royal Theatre Opening 2023-2024
- 2nd Skin and Co Dress – (Repeat – Debuted October 2021 Princess of Asturias awards)
- UFO Diamond Hoops – (Repeat – I do not believe they are either of her Coolook pair)
- Cartier Bracelet – (Repeat from ‘Joyas de Pasar’)
- Bottega Veneta Bag – (Debuted – October 2018)
- Manolo Blahnik Gotrianc Slingback pumps – (Repeat – Debuted March 2019)
She was wearing her black 2nd Sking and Co dress that she first wore in 2021 at the Princess of Asturias awards and then in 2022 at the NATO summit. The retro style dress has been an instant hit.
Letizia was wearing one of the Cartier Twin Bracelets from ‘Joyas de Pasar’ Collection – The Collection of the Royal jewels that once belonged to Queen Victoria Eugenia and she made them hereditary jewels that are passed down to the Queens of the country.
The Queen wore her Manolo Blahnik slingback Gotrianc pumps
and carried Bottega Veneta clutch.
And her Corterno ring was not missing either.
