The congress discussed the various relevant aspects of Human Trafficking such as raising awareness in society, prevention strategies and the need for international cooperation. Accompanied by the experience of professionals from state social entities, Betania has shown what actions are being carried out at this time and the paths to improve and achieve the expected results. Human trafficking is a widespread form of slavery that affects millions of people around the world and is also a reality in Spain. A crime that constitutes a very lucrative industry that is ruining millions of lives every year domestically and internationally  – displacing people between regions and countries, taking advantage of their situation of poverty, lack of opportunities, inequality and discrimination suffered by, majorly women and girls.
