Then The Queen took to the stage and presented the annual awards. This year’s recipients included UNICEF Spain Transforma 2023 Award – Congenital Cardiopathies Unit of the La Paz Hospital in Madrid, UNICEF España Comunica 2023 Award, has gone to the journalist Alexia Columba Jerez for the report and UNICEF Spain Joaquín Ruiz-Giménez Award 2023, which is awarded individually to people with a vital and professional career who stand out for their constant and prolonged dedication to advancing the rights of children and this year’s recipient is Shabana Basij-Rasikh, Afghan activist co-founder of SOLA (School of Leadership of Afghanistan).
