Queen Letizia of Spain, the patron of Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER), send a virtual message to the World Health Organizations 2024 Resolution that was being held in line with the United Nation’s Annual General Assembly in New York. Letizia’s message urge the organization and stake holder to provide universal health coverage for people with rare diseases.
The event was broadcast in streaming, and aims to achieve the implementation of Universal Health Coverage and study how this is reflected in different countries specifically in rare diseases, as well as explore new methods to reduce the economic impact of these pathologies in people with rare diseases and their families.
This initiative is promoted by the Permanent Mission of Spain to the United Nations, organizer of the event together with the Permanent Mission of Sweden and Rare Diseases International (RDI), with the support of the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER), the Diseases Committee Rare for the UN, Rare Diseases Europe (EURORDIS) and Agrenska Foundation.
From the outfit, the message was recorded at the Royal Palace on September 07th – the day when Queen Letizia presented the Spanish UNICEF awards.
