The Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed Sweden Crown Princess and Prince

The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Catherine, hosted the Sweden Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel at Windsor Castle this afternoon ahead of the Royal Variety Performance where the Swedish couple are special guests along with William and Kate. Both William and Victoria are first in line to the throne of their respective countries and have a lot in common.

Prince William and Princess Kate received the Future Queen of Sweden and her husband in the white drawing room of Windsor Castle. The Castle has become the base for the British Royal couple to meet the guest and hosts the meetings as they live at Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Castle estate. Both William and Victoria are descended from Queen Victoria, who is William’s great-great-great- great-grandmother.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel have been visiting the United Kingdom for two days and undertook various activities and engagements hence had a packed schedule. They met with the Ukrainian soldiers who are being trained in the UK, visited local pubs to learn about the socioeconomic scenario of Swedish people living in the UK and then also attended a special dinner hosted last night.

Prince William and Princess Kate visited Sweden in January 2018 and were hosted by Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. The four royals also undertook some joint engagements during the visit. They also met at the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II last year and the coronation of King Charles III this year.

In the evening, The Prince and Princess of Wales will be attending the annual Royal Variety Performance for the fifth time since getting married in April 2011. Catherine, The Princess of Wales chose a green custom made dress to meet and greet the Swedish Royal couple. the green dress looks similar to her Emilia Wickstead lilac A-line dress and a matching green dress. Kate has the same style in blue too.

The difference is today’s dress has a longer hemline aligned to the current style Kate prefers.  So I believe the dress Princess wore today is also from the same label.
