The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge marked the 8th birthday of their eldest son, Prince George, with a beautiful picture. As expected, the picture was taken by The Duchess of Cambridge at the family’s country home Anmer Hall. In the new picture, we can see the glimpse of Young Prince William.

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge’s birth in 2013 was one of the most anticipated Royal events of the year. For more than 3 days, the world media and royal-watching community were holding their breath to meet the first child of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who would be third in line to the British Throne.

With the picture, Prince William and Duchess Catherine also paid a sweet tribute to Prince Philip, who passed away this year in April. In the picture, wearing a signature Cambridge colour- blue, George is sitting on the bonnet of a Land Rover Defender. The Duke of Edinburgh, George’s Great-Grandfather, was known for his passion for Land Rovers.

Little Prince’s first official picture was also a break from tradition. Instead of picking a professional photographer, William and Catherine released a cute picture clicked by Catherine’s father Michael Middleton.
