Queen Letizia of Spain showed her support to the war-struck Ukraine through another sartorial node. It’s been almost a year and a half since Russia invaded its neighbouring country and the international community has shown its steadfast support to Ukraine and Ukrainians. The Spanish Royals are one of them.
Queen Letizia began the royal week with two audiences at the Royal Palace of Zarzuela. First Queen Letizia received the 24 recipients of the BBVA Microfinance Foundation (FMBBVA) scholarship in Colombia and Peru. This opportunity will allow them to be the first generation of university students in their families since due to their economic and social situation, it is more difficult to access higher education.
Queen Letizia is the patron of the BBVA Foundation. Established in 2007, the foundation is the non-profit entity of BBVA Bank. The objective of the Foundation is to promote the sustainable and inclusive economic and social development of these entrepreneurs, through its own methodology, Productive Finance. The winners were accompanied by the president of BBVA, Carlos Torres Vila, and the general director of the BBVA Microfinance Foundation, Javier M. Flores.
Next Queen Letizia met with the winner of the 2023 SM El Barco de Vapor Award, Mónica Rodríguez, and Patricia García Rojo winner of the 2023 SM Gran Angular Award, who were accompanied by José Manuel Cidad, president of SM.
Monic won the award for her work “Braver than Napoleon” and Patricia García Rojo for his work “The Summer the wolves arrived”. Since 1978, the SM Foundation has maintained a commitment to promote reading as a source of learning and development for children and young people. Orienting all its initiatives to improve equity and educational quality in ten Latin American countries. Every year two works reflecting courage, diversity, friendship or perseverance are awarded these honours. 2023 marks the 45th edition of the SM El Barco de Vapor and Gran Angular Awards, the most outstanding children’s and youth literature in Spain.

Heading towards Queen Letizia Style – Letizia was looking chic in a red and white outfit. The highlight of the outfit was Etnodim’s red Women’s embroidery shirt with floral Obriy. Etnodim is a Ukrainian label.
The $143 Linen blouse features cotton machine embroidery on a vee-shaped neckline and sleeves. The blouse is currently available in all sizes.
Letizia teamed up the blouse with her white Hemine Boss trousers that she has had since 2015.
