Queen Letizia of Spain, the Honorary President of Spanish Association against Cancer, attended the annual working meeting of the association at its headquarters in Madrid. Letizia keeps a close touch with the association and its working and always receives briefings about the various projects and works carried out by the association in Spain and globally.
Wearing a classic 80s Austrian-made Merino wool blazer with a working monochrome style, Letizia arrived at the association headquarter for its first meeting of the new year where she was received by the President of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, Ramón Reyes.
During the meeting, the main focus of the discussion was AECC’s social initiative “All against Cancer,” which aims to reach 70% survival by 2030 and reduce the inequalities caused by the disease. The other issue discussed alongside the projects carried out in 2023 and blue print of 2024 was the fight against tobacco and the new consumer devices that have a particular impact on young people with the aim of reaching the first tobacco-free generation by 2040 in Europe.
For last 69 years, The AECC has been working with various other hospitals and organizations to educate people about cancer, its prevention and treatment. The association has been helping the patients and their families during the treatment and conducting various researches to eliminate the trauma as much as possible.
