King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain concluded their three days long Spain State visit to Denmark. During the three days stay, King Felipe and Queen Letizia were guests of Queen Margrethe II and were staying at Fredensborg Palace. On Wednesday morning, The Royal couple bid farewell to Queen Margrethe II.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia signed the guestbook and then signed glass panel for the window with a diamond-tipped pen. The glass panel will be used as a souvenir from the visit. Felipe and Margrethe apart from being the Monarch of their countries also share a personal bond through Felipe’s mother and Margrethe’s sister.
From their, King Felipe and Quene Letizia headed to BLOX and participate in a roundtable discussion on sustainable urban development and planning.
Felipe and Letizia along with Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary also toured the exhibition “Copenhagen in Common” in the Danish Architecture Center about Copenhagen’s urban development from 1947 until the present time. The exhibition was created in connection with Copenhagen’s designation as the World Capital of Architecture in 2023.
This was the Spanish King and Queen’s last joint engagement with the Danish Crown Couple.
The last engagement of the day was a meeting with the Spanish people living in Denmark at Moltke’s Palace in Copenhagen.
