The Princess of Asturias, Leonor, and Infanta Sofia of Spain made their first 2023 Public appearance. King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia took their daughters to Chinchón where they attended the 60th anniversary of the popular representation of The Passion.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain took this week off from Royal duties while Infanta Sofia was also on Easter Break. They were joined by Princess Leonor yesterday who arrived from Wales for her spring break that will end on April 16th. Leonor is in the last semester of International Baccalaureate at the UWC College in Atlantic and will be graduating on May 20th.

The Royal Family arrived at the Town Hall of Madrid Community just before the sunset and joined the local for the the representation of the Passion that takes place on Holy Saturday. The event that began in 1963 was declared an artistic-religious act of National Tourist Interest in 1980.
From the Town hall, the act continues towards the Plaza de San Roque, with the passages of Christ on the Mount of Olives and El Prendimiento. It is followed, on Calle Morata, by the First Fall of Jesus. The highligh of the event occurs in the Second half – a decorative religious representation near the French Hall. The ceremony closes at the façade of the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción with the Resurrection of Christ.
The King and Queen with their daughters were warmly welcomed by the locals. They spent some time meeting and greeting the members of the public. This was Leonor and Sofia’s first public appearance of 2023. While Sofia was last seen in public at the 2022 Princess of Asturias awards, Leonor visited the Spanish Red Cross in December 2022 during her winter break.
The Royal ladies kept their looks of the day simple and casual. The interesting thing about Letizia and her daughters is that due to their almost similar physic, they often share wardrobes.
Queen Letizia of Spain was wearing white Sfera blouse with a contrasting black Ukrainian embroidery that Princess Leonor first wore in April 2022.
Letizia teamed up the blouse with a black trouser and blazer. She was wearing her Hugo Boss Royal Pointed Toe Ballet Flats. Letizia was carrying her Adolfo Dominguez bag.
Letizia was wearing a pair of gold hoops with drop pearls.
Princess Leonor of Spain was wearing her mother’s Roberto Verino Wool Vest that Letizia first wore in January 2023.
Leonor paired it with a black full sleeve sweater, white jeans. Leonor was also wearing her Mother’s Adolfo Dominguez Mule that Letizia debuted in April 2018.
Infanta Sofia kept her look chic with a striped top paired with black jeans and black leather jacket. She was wearing her Reebok Club C 85 Sneakers.
We might see the Royal Family on the Easter Sunday Mass. We will see Queen Letizia joining King Felipe on Tuesday at the Commemorative act of the Bicentennial of the Ateneo de Madrid.
