Duchess Catherine in 2018 – Dazzling Reinvention

2017 left with lots of exceptions and excitement. William and Catherine have taken up the role of full-time royals and made Kensington Palace their official residence. Prince George and Princess Charlotte are growing up in a loving and caring environment. The Cambridge family was getting ready to welcome the fifth member of their family. The family welcomed 2018 at the Middleton Mansion before moving to Anmer Hall.

The first sighting of the Duchess of Cambridge was the Sunday Church service with Prince William and Royal Family on January 07, 2018. The first change in 2018 we saw was the absence of annual Mustique vacation and the reason was very cute and adorable – Prince George and Princess Charlotte. George was already a full-time student at Thomas’s Battersea in London and Charlotte started her nursery on January 08, 2018, at Willcocks Nursery School in London. Duke and Duchess shared two beautiful pictures of adorable Princess taken by The Duchess herself on the first day of Charlotte’s Nursery.

Catherine’s first official appearance was during a visit to Place2Be on January 10, 2018, after celebrating her birthday quietly. Next, The Duchess made a surprise appearance at Anna Freud Centre’s Mental Health conference.

The Duchess of Cambridge undertook a series of engagements that included a visit to Great Ormond Street Hospital to officially open the new Mittal Children’s Medical Centre. Participation in Junior Tennis initiative, the launch of Mentally Healthy Schools - An initiative that is part of Catherine's dream project 'Early year's Intervention'. a day out championing Maternal Mental Health before embarking on another royal tour in January. It seems the first two months of 2018 gave a big glimpse of What Catherine is planning to do in public life.

On January 29, 2018, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Sweden for 4 days tour of Sweden and Norway.  It was another first for The Duchess as she was visiting both countries officially the first time. In Sweden, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were welcomed by Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, who toured the country for 2 days before heading towards Norway.

In Norway, the Crown Prince welcomed the Duke and Duchess. Later on, the King and Queen of Norway invited the Royal couple to the royal palace where they attended a black-tie dinner.

In March, The Duchess of Cambridge started the royal duties by visiting Oxford School. She opened a new headquarter of Place2Be, attended Commonwealth day with the royal family, held a discussion at the children's Tennis initiative at the palace, joined William for St. Patrick's day, attended Mental health symposium, and celebrated a commonwealth day with various engagements before going on maternity leave.

Prince George who just come from his school was looking handsome in his uniform while Princess Charlotte was as always cute as a button. She won the heart of everyone when she 'oh so cutely' waved at the press waiting for them outside the hospital.

In the evening the new Prince of Cambridge came out of the hospital cuddled safely in his mother's arms. Catherine who just gave birth a few hours ago looked radiant in a red Jenny Packham dress paired with The Queen’s diamond and pearl earrings and Gianvito Rossi 85 Praline Pumps.

After the birth of Prince Louis, The Duchess of Cambridge decided to take a full 6 months maternity leave unlike her previous children's birth when she came back to the royal duties earlier. During the maternity leave, she joined the family for important events like Trooping the Colour, RAF Centenary Service, Sunday Service at Balmoral. She was also seen a few times during the period on non-official events like Horse trials, at a polo match with George and Charlotte, at the wedding of her close friend. She reportedly was quite busy with behind the scene meetings and learning more about early-year interventions as it was revealed in September that The Duchess is set to launch a long-term project bringing attention to the early-year interventions.

The Duchess of Cambridge resumed her duties in October 2018 with a visit to Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden at Paddington Recreation Ground. It was reported that The Duchess, a hands-on mum, is keen to spend quality time with her children and will keep the workload manageable until the end of the year.

She undertook engagements and attended a few family events including a visit to Victoria and Albert Museum visit, Global Mental Health Summit, Princess Eugenie’s Wedding, State Banquetvisited Essex, Visited Imperial War Museum in October.

In November she joined William for Tusk Conservation Awards, Royal Family for the annual Royal Festival of Remembrance, National Service of Remembrance Day, Special Armistice Service, a visit to South Yorkshire, and made a surprise visit to BBCOnean embargoed visit to University College of London’s Developmental Neuroscience LabPoignant Visit to Leicester with William.

November 2018 marked another milestone in Royal Family, Prince Charles of Wales turned 70. The family celebrated the event by releasing family portraits and Queen hosted a lavish dinner for Charles attended by many foreign royal families.
